## How to play Pool Rummy online on GetMega Rummy App?

• Players join the table with the pre-decided rupees amount.
• Every player brings this amount to the table.
• A toss determines which player makes the first move.
• Each player is dealt a random set of 13 cards.
• The first card from the deck is placed face-up in the open deck at the start of the game.
• The remaining cards are placed face-down in the closed deck of cards.
• At the beginning of each game, a joker card is randomly selected.
• The objective of the game is to arrange all 13 cards in hand into sequences and/or sets.
• Each player takes turns picking or discarding a card from the closed/open deck to complete their sets and/or sequences.
• One or more jokers can be used to complete sets and/or sequences.
• If a printed joker is chosen as the joker for a game of rummy, players are permitted to use any Ace card from any suit as a joker in their sequences or sets.
• During a game of Pool Rummy, a player may choose to drop out at any time by selecting the 'Auto Drop' button. This player will be removed from subsequent deals and will receive the first drop score (20 points in the 101 pool or 25 points in the 201 pool). If the player wishes to return to the table, they may click the 'I'm Back' button. The points earned by the player when they dropped out will be added to their score upon their return.
• In Pool Rummy, once a player's score reaches the maximum limit of points on a particular table, they will be eliminated from the game. For instance, in 101 points pool, a player will be eliminated as soon as their score reaches 101 points.
• A player can move a card to the finish slot to declare their sets and sequences.
• To declare, the player must group their cards in sets/sequences.
• Click on the 'Declare' button.
• It is compulsory to declare at least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence.
• Players should be cautious when using two decks, as the same card cannot be used twice in a set (e.g., 7♠ 7♠ 7♥ is not a valid set).

## Differences between 101 Pool Rummy and 201 Pool Rummy

With a few significant exceptions, the games of 101 and 201 pool rummy are relatively similar to one another. The points are the main distinction between the games of 101 and 201 poolrummy.

In the game of 101 pool rummy, a player can only accrue a maximum of 101 points, but in the game of rummy 201 pool, a player can only accrue a maximum of 201 points. A player is removed from a round of the 101 pool rummy game when they achieve 101 points, while they are eliminated from a round of the 201 pool rummy game when they reach a total of 201 points.

The number of penalty points that are added to the player's score when they leave the pool rummy game is another significant distinction between the 101 and 201 pool rummy games. When a player leaves the game of 101 pool rummy, there is a penalty of a total of 20 points at the first drop and a penalty of 40 points at the middle drop. The first drop penalty in the 201 pool rummy, however, is 25 points, and the middle drop penalty is a total of 50 points.

## How scoring is done in Pool Rummy?

• According to pool rummy rules, with one or more decks of playing cards, the game is played between two and four players.
• Each participant contributes some cash to the game.
• 13 cards are dealt to each player from a thoroughly shuffled deck.
• The remaining cards are piled up on the table (known as a stockpile). In order to create the open deck, the top card of this pile is placed face up, and the rest cards are placed face down (this forms the closed deck).
• The goal of the game is for the participants to create two melds, which can either be two pure sequences, one pure sequence and one impure sequence, or one pure sequence and one set.
• Each player chooses a card from the closed or open deck, and then turns over a card from their hand to the open deck.
• The player who completes the aforementioned goal first has the option to request a show (typically done by saying the word "rummy" aloud). At this point, the rummy pool game is stopped, and the sequences and sets are verified. If accepted, the player receives 0 points and is deemed the winner in the rummy pool app.
• Based on the cards in each player's hand, the other players are given points. Each card has the following points:
• 10 points for an ace (but may differ from place to place and people to people)
• 10 points apiece for the King, Queen, and Jack.
• Joker has no points.
• Same points as the face value for a numerical card.
• In 101 Pool Rummy, players are eliminated once they achieve 101 points (or 201 points in the case of 201 pool rummy)

## What are the maximum points a player can get?

The player that reaches a maximum score of 101 points or 201 points, depending on the poolrummy type, gets eliminated from the table.

## How are the winnings calculated in the Pool Rummy?

The cash prize for winning a game of Pool Rummy is awarded to the winner at the end of the game using the given formula:

Total Winnings = (Entry Fee x Number of Players) - GetMega Rummy Fees

E.g.: To participate in a game of Pool Rummy, players are required to pay a predetermined entry fee, which is used to create the prize pool. At the end of each deal, the player with the highest score is awarded 0 points, while the remaining players accumulate points that are added to their score. For instance, if a game of Pool Rummy is joined by 5 players with an entry fee of Rs. 100, the prize pool for this particular game would be Rs. 500. The winner of the game would receive Rs. 100 x 5 = Rs. 500, which would be credited to their account after the deduction of GetMega Rummy fees.
