1. Albert Trott - 8/43

Even after more than 125 years of its making, cricketer Albert Trott’s bowling figure from his very first Test match remains the best bowling figures in Test debut in all of cricket.

Trott took on team England in his debut Test match with Australia on January 11th 1895 at Adelaide Oval. In the second innings of the game, Trott came on the pitch and bowled a total of 27 overs and claimed 8 wickets for just 43 runs and 10 maidens. 2. Bob Massie - 8/53

The second player on this list of best bowling figures in Test debut is another Australian cricketer, Bob Massie. Massie played against team England on June 22nd 1972 at Lord’s in his debut Test game, where he bowled for 27.2 overs and picked up 8 wickets for just 53 runs, alongside 9 maidens.

3. Narendra Hirwani - 8/61

4. Lance Klusener - 8/64

South African bowling allrounder, Lance Klusener played his first Test game against India on November 27th 1996 at the Eden Gardens. 5. Alf Valentine - 8/104

Legendary West Indian cricketer, Alf Valentine claims the fifth spot in the list of best bowling figures in Test debut. Valentine faced off against England on June 8th 1950 in his first-ever Test game at the Emirates Old Trafford. In this match, Valentine bowled a total of 50 wickets in the first innings and chipped off 8 wickets by conceding 104 runs, with 14 maidens.

6. Jason Krejza - 8/215

Another Australian cricketer claims the sixth spot with his one of the best bowling figures in Test debut. Krejza represented Australia in his first Test debut game against India on November 6th 2008 at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium. Krejza got a hold of his bowling that day and delivered for 43.5 overs with a single maiden. In this innings, he had an economy rate of 4.90 and claimed 8 wickets for 215 runs.

7. Kyle Abbott - 7/29

South African bowler Kyle Abbott had recently surpassed DG Cork’s statistics to claim the seventh spot in the list of best bowling figures in Test debut. Abbot started his Test career journey against Pakistan on February 22nd 2013 at SuperSport Park. On the second day of the game, Abbott struck down 7 wickets for just 29 runs in the 11.4 overs that he bowled, with 4 maidens. He had an economy rate of 2.48 that innings and his 7/29 statistics in that game have made the list of one of the best bowling figures on debut in Test of the past decade.
