The second name on the list to have reached the milestone of fastest to 250 wickets in Test is the legendary Australian cricketer, Dennis Lillee. His international cricket debut started with his first Test match against England at the Adelaide Oval on January 29th 1971.

And in his 48th Test match, against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 7th 1981, Dennis Lillee reached the milestone of being one of the bowlers to take the fastest 250 wickets in Test cricket. Dennie Lillee is also the fourth-highest wicket-taker for Australia, with a total of 355 wickets in his Test cricket career.

3) Dale Steyn

Number three on the list of fastest to 250 test wickets list is South African right-arm fast bowler, Dale Steyn. He began his Test cricket career playing against England at St. George's Park on December 17th, 2004.

And nearly seven years later, in his 49th Test match, Steyn managed to claim his 250th Test career wicket against Sri Lanka at the Centurion on December 15th 2011. With this marvellous achievement, Dale Steyn currently ranks third as one of the bowlers to have ever taken the fastest 250 wickets in Test cricket.

Allan Donald’s Test cricket debut was against West Indies at the Kensington Oval, played on April 18th 1992 and since then, he had participated in 72 total Test matches with a total wicket tally of 330.

His fastest to 250 wickets in Test cricket record was made during his 50th match, playing against West Indies in Durban on December 26th 1998. Allan Donald’s personal best bowling in an innings in Test is 8/71.

5) Waqar Younis

He had represented Pakistan in 87 Test and 262 ODI matches, claiming a total of 373 and 416 wickets, respectively. Waqar’s debut Test match was against team India at the National Stadium back on November 15th 1989. He reached the feast of the fastest 250 wickets in Test in his 51st Test match, against South Africa on March 6th 1998 at Gqeberha.
