# How to Play 4 Card Poker?

## What is 4 card poker and how to play it?

4 card poker or Four card poker is a game that was developed by Mr. Roger Snow. This game is very similar to three card poker in the aspects of gameplay. The game starts with the player posting a blind or an ante bet. The player can also choose to post an ace up bet instead of the blind or the ante bet or along with the blind or the ante bet. The dealer then goes on to deal 5 cards to the player. The dealer then deals 6 cards to themselves with 5 cards being face down and 1 card being face up. After the dealer has dealt all the cards, the player has the option to either fold their cards, losing the blind or the ante bet or continue to play the game by betting an amount which is 1-3 times the blind or the ante bet.

The player and the dealer have to then make the best 4 card hand combination they can make with the cards dealt to them. The winner is determined by comparing the hand combinations of the player and the dealer. In the event of a tie between the player and the dealer, the player wins the money in the pot. If the player beats the dealer, the player wins the money in the pot. If the player loses to the dealer, the dealer wins the money in the pot. A bonus is given out to the player if they end up getting the following hand combinations-

·         Three of a kind (2-1 for the blind or the ante bet)

·         Straight Flush (20-1)

·         Four of a kind (25-1)

A bonus is also paid out if the dealer’s hand combination turns out to be better than the player playing against them. But, the player still loses their blind or ante bet.
