Flying Sydney visit
It’s all about the Krispy Kremes! After a 9am meeting finished at 10:30, I flew (in my car) out to the airport for a 12 noon flight to Sydney. The mission? A Ms Megabyte presentation about new technology and how to take the frustration out of existing technology to 50 mortgage brokers on behalf of AFG and BankWest (hello power brokers!). Most of the audience had never heard of Ms Megabyte, so were not really sure what they were in for!
After a reminder of our first introduction to technology (the Commodore 64), I took the brokers through some really handy hints for everyday computer use – like the shortcut Shift + F3 to change ALL UPPER CASE to lower case in Word. Another popular one was the shortcut Ctrl + Enter to insert a Page Break in Word – no more pressing enter 15 times to make the next page appear!
It seems everyone’s really keen to spend some time cleaning up their email Inbox, so the tips on selecting multiple files were helpful, and you’ll find those in my latest FingerTips newsletter.
And back to Melbourne on a 5pm flight – with my Assorted box of 12 Krispy Kreme donuts for the family of course!
