The newspaper wrapping man

Why… is the edge of the plastic so hard to find on the delivered newspaper? It’s like a race to get it out of that plastic before it’s been in there so long that it’s almost impossible to read without rolling itself back up. Even if you roll it back the other way, it doesn’t work – because the wrapping man seems to have a way of wrapping it this way AND that – it’s like some kind of warped wrapping jigsaw puzzle.

I was recently at a friend’s place and she buys the paper from a newsagent close by every morning. It was so flat and neat and easy to process.. mmmm – I found myself coveting the flat paper. Am I getting old?!

I hear there's a flat wrapping trial going on. I wait.
