Troubleshooting Xmas Technology Gift Problems
Games - if a computer game doesn't work, its likely to be:
* 'video card drivers', or
* PC not having good enough system requirements, such as memory (RAM) or not a powerful enough motherboard (the game may need a 266mhz system, and you have a 133).
The way to fix the driver problem is to go to the manufacturer's website (if you're not sure about this, you'd have to get someone to help you open your PC and find the video card, then the name of the manufacturer). At their website, you're likely to find new drivers that you can download and install.
Digital cameras - the main issues here are with people who have upgraded their PC's to Windows XP. You may find that the camera you have doesn’t have specific Windows XP drivers. Check the box it came in, or the documentation. If you read that the camera is compatible with Windows 2000, it is likely to work fine with Windows XP. If the documentation suggests the camera is compatible with previous versions of Windows like 95 and 98, you'll have to go to the manufacturers website and look for Windows XP/2000 drivers.
