Apple iPod Portable Digital Music Player

>>>>>>>>

Finally not just for Mac, this new digital music player is the ultimate when it comes to music storage and playback. The premium setup (30Gb) can store around 7500 songs, is less than 2cm thick, and weighs only 175 grams (less for the 10 and 15Gb versions)! 7500 songs is enough to play continuous songs for 21 days straight! You can create your own play lists as you travel - away from the computer, and with 20 equalizer settings, you shouldn't have a problem getting the exact sound you like.

The idea is that you plug the iPod into a docking station that is connected to your PC, and can transfer files as quick as 10 seconds a song.

But that's not all you get! The iPod also acts as a PDA - storing your contacts, calendar, to-do list, a notes reader, an alarm and even games like Solitaire. You can also sign up for audible.com - a site that allows you to download audio books, like Hitchhikers Guide.., the latest Robert Ludlum.. anything really!

It comes in 10Gb ($595, 2500 songs), 15Gb ($799, $3700 songs) and 30Gb ($999, 7500 songs) models, with an 8hr battery life.

Photo Safe photo storage
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Photo Safe is a new service where people can have their original photos scanned, digitised and saved onto CD-Rom and the Internet and lastly onto a secure backup data tape for safekeeping.

A Photo Safe digital album is created for you online, which can be accessed via password and to which you can upload your own additional digital photos.

Photo Safe provide you with a Customer Job Bag, which contains photo wallets and separator cards. You organise your photos and label the separator cards, photo wallets and job bag, then take the completed pack to a participating retailer. You can use the Outlet Finder on the web to find an outlet.

Pricing is based on the total number of prints, negatives or slides that a customer wishes to scan. The cost to scan a single image is only $1.30 (GST inclusive) and included in this price is the CD-ROM containing all the scanned images. If sending less than 50 images, a minimum charge of $65.00 applies.

Home Automation gone mad:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

www.dr `ivemeinsane.com - a site set up with web cameras all around a guys house in Plano, Texas. You can control the lighting in various rooms by a simple mouse click. The web cameras refresh, and you see your efforts in action. Turn his Christmas lights on, the lava lamp - even take control of his remote control toy car.

He's set this up just for fun, as an extreme example of using the Internet for home automation. You can even send him live messages and chat with other visitors to the site. It is best viewed and played with on a broadband connection, or you'll find it a bit slow.
